VPN SETUP CONFIGURATION
A typical VPN setup will allow the remote office(s)
to access the internal network at the head office. Mobile users can also
access either network because the VPN client software allows for more
than one setup configuration and thus, connectivity to several virtual
private networks.

Because VPN security allows direct and secure access
to the network, you don't have to worry about leaving firewall ports open
to access your email or remote desktops. VPN clients are virtually on
your network. They access your resources internally using your private
network addresses.

VPN security also means that your users do not have
to remember additional user ID's and passwords. A secret 'Pre-Shared Key'
is defined in the VPN server configuration which must match exactly the
Pre-Shared Key in the VPN client software. Ebit Solutions can set this
up and simply provide you with a file to give to your users. This file
when opened on the notebook computer which has the VPN software installed
then sets up the secure encryption tunnel between the VPN server and
VPN client.

examples of a VPN setup and are not intended as a suggestion for all configurations
of a virtual private network.
